on the edge of leaping, lost
my focus, the
words hurt
cut me, a
delayed reaction
but true nonetheless
for my blood
is invisible
but pulses
just the same
slower and slower
the edge of vision
goes out of focus
delayed to
my
destination
Hi guys! I’m new to this. Although I’m a writer, I’m a comedian at heart.
I had delayed my trip to the refrigerator for too long. There was only one piece of pie left, and it was precariously balanced on the edge of the second shelf. It jiggled ominously. Focus. Focus. Phew! I got it. Lemon cream. Yummy.
